Seconds later, at the exact moment in which the choir started, I spent a huge billboard sign with big black letters that read, ‘you are not alone!’ ”
This is the section of an email I received today from a reader named Ella opening. It made me smile because I love when life delivers messages apparently coincident, positive like that, just when we need it most.
However, the rest of the mail She further described her ongoing struggle with feeling “lost and lonely” in life. This got me thinking …
Why do people feel this way? What is the point of all this? Millions of people in this world, and their whole desire in search of experiences and people to meet their specifications, even inadvertently isolate themselves in the process. Why? The planet was put here just to nourish our loneliness?
The more I experimented and explored my feelings of uncertainty and loneliness, the more I realized how necessary are these feelings. And ‘good for us to pass the time exploring the unknown, alone. It gives us the opportunity to discover who we really are and what life is all about.
Here are some things to keep in mind when you feel lost and alone:
1.’re Not alone in being alone.
Many of us are fighting the same battle at his side. We are all in the same boat. So, no matter how embarrassed or pathetic you feel about your situation, I know there are others out there experiencing the same emotions. When you hear: “I am alone,” the mind is only concerned about trying to sell a lie. There is always someone who can relate to. Maybe you can talk directly to them, but they are out there, and that’s all you need to know now.
2. Times when you are alone, you have to be alone.
Sometimes you have to stand alone, not alone, but to enjoy a little ‘free time just to be yourself and find your way. In other words, the moments that you feel are the only times you have to be yourself. This is one of the cruelest ironies of life.
We need solitude, when we are alone because we are detached from obligations, we do not need to put on a show, and we can listen to our thoughts and to listen to what our intuition is telling us. And the truth is, your whole life there will be times when you get real quiet everywhere and the only thing left is the beat of your heart. So you’d better learn the sound of it, otherwise you will not understand what you’re saying.
3. Necessary to be a bit ‘lost before you find what you are looking for.
Until they are lost in this world you can begin to find the best route. Realizing that you missed is the first step to living the life you want. The second step is leaving the life that you want. Making a major life change is scary enough. But you know what’s even scarier? Regret.
I can say that from my experience of life that I found love, lost, found, lost, and then found it again. But what I found was more amazing than the last. So remember that anyone who suffers from at some point in life. Everyone feels lost at times. The key is using your experiences to grow. When you apply what you are learning in your future choices and actions, not moving backwards. You become stronger and wiser. It is not easy, but it’s worth it in the end.
4. Has to accept the reality of what is.
You can not find peace by avoiding life. Active life with unexpected changes. So rather than avoid it, make any changes and the experience as a challenge to the growth. Or give you what you want or we will teach you what is the next step. And remember, finding peace in life does not mean being in a place where there is no noise, no challenges and no effort. It means to be in the midst of these things, while remaining calm in your heart.
Honestly, life is too short to go to war with yourself. The biggest disappointments of our lives are often the result of misplaced expectations. Letting go of unnecessary expectations is the first step to happiness. Coming from a mentality of peace and acceptance, and can deal with anything and grow beyond it.
5. Whatever the situation, choose your attitude.
Determined to be positive. Understand that most of your misery or unhappiness is determined not by circumstances, but by your attitude. A happy person is not a person that is always a good situation, but rather a person who always has a positive attitude in every situation. So I smile at people who try often regret or hurt themselves; show them what is missing in their lives and what they can not take away from you. In this way does not mean forgetting, or choose happiness which means quite bad.
6. Being alone does not mean you are lonely and solitary means that you are not alone.
The problem is not always to be alone; is a loner in the presence of others. You can be lonely in the midst of a crowd. Do not you agree? So keep that in mind and choose wisely relationships. Do not do it just for the sake of not being alone.

Friends and family do not always support your goals, but must pursue anyway. Follow your intuition. Following your intuition means doing what feels good, even if it looks or sounds good to others. Only time will tell, but our human instinct rarely wrong. Even if things do not go as planned, at least you will not have to spend the rest of your life wondering what could have been. So do not worry about what everyone thinks. Just keep in your life and tell the truth.
Ultimately, you know you’re on the right path in life when you become indifferent looking back and eager to take the next step, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
8. You’re not that old, and that’s OK.
You have been injured; Who has gone through many ups and downs that have made you who you are today. Over the years, many things have happened – things that have changed your point of view, it is taught lessons and forced your spirit to grow. Over time, no one stays the same, but some people still tell you that you have changed. 9. The best you can do is change from day to day.
Always do your best. And realize that “best” is going to change several times. For example, it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.

And remember that no matter what is happening, you can effectively fight the battles of just today. 10. The end all fronts – every step, every regret, every smile and every fight.
Events seemingly unnecessary add up to something. The minimum wage job you had in high school. The evenings they spent socializing with colleagues no longer see. The hours I’ve spent thinking about writing a blog that nobody reads. Contemplations on the elaborate plans for the future that never came to be. All those lonely nights spent reading the newspaper columns and novels, comic books and fashion magazines and questioning their principles about life and sex and religion, and if you’re not good enough as you are. All this has been strengthened. All this has led to any success, you never had. All this has made you who you are today.
